for Looking for a unique gift to give this father’s day?
Every year, I struggle to find something that’s fun and unique for my husband for Father’s day. I keep thinking that most of the gifts I’ve thought of so far end up on the shelf and never looked at again. That was until a few years ago I figured out photography was the perfect Father’s Day gift!
Here’s 4 ways you use photography as a way to make Father’s Day really special this year.
1. Gift certificates for a family photo shoot
Most photographers will provide gift vouchers. By giving a voucher, your father or spouse can choose when the photos take place so that they can be in the photos and it can suit their schedule.
He can choose whether he wants a studio session or something outdoor, depending on the style of photography he prefers. I’m happy to provide gift certificates and most photographers have some lovely ones they can provide you.
2. Photos of your children
Mini sessions, for example, are great places to get photos of your children that make great gifts. These short sessions are great for dads that may be a bit camera shy as they are shorter than regular sessions. Here’s one that’s taking place on Father’s Day weekend in Twickenham! 3. It’s all about the merchandise
My husband absolutely loves the mug I got him with my daughter’s picture on it. Just knowing how much my daughter loves him makes him so happy. Next on my list is to get a mouse-mat, key changes and other merchandise with her picture on it!
4. Print photos you’ve already taken
If you’ve had a photo shoot with me or any other photographer recently, you can get high quality prints to frame and give as gifts. You also probably have some really sweet photos on your photo of your dad or spouse (if not, you can learn how to take better phone photos of your family on my FB group).
