Here are 7 reasons why a family photography gift voucher is one of the best gifts to give this Christmas

Let’s be honest, more often than not, we all scratch your heads trying to find great gifts to give for friends and family for Christmas. Particularly in an age where being environmentally friendly is on everyone’s minds. It’s understandable that we don’t want to buy gifts that are going to be unappreciated and even worse, end up being unused and thrown away. That’s why I think giving a photography gift voucher for Christmas is a life-saver.

So, here’s my lists for why!

Christmas photos

Photography is one of those gifts that makes both the giver and the recipient happy. And who doesn’t want to be happy?

ONE: You’ve run out of ideas!

How many of us have family members that are really hard to buy for? They seem to have everything? A family photo shoot gift voucher is particularly good for family members that have children (or grandchildren). It will be impossible for them to not fall in love with photos of their family.

Two: You have close friends or relatives you don’t see very often

Buying a gift certificate from a photographer local to your friend and family member means they can get photos of their own family which they can share with you. It’s a win-win situation because you’ll also get pictures of them and their family to have up in your house too. This is particularly a popular idea with grandparents who buy gift certificates for their children and grandchildren.

Three: You buy it as a gift for someone else but really it’s a gift for you!

This is related to the point above but if the friend or family lives near you, why not also join them for the photo shoot? So they have pictures of their family to put up around the house – but then so do you!

Four: It’s a FANTASTIC way to overcome procrastination

I’ve had so many families tell me they’ve been wanting family photos but never get around to it. If you buy a photography voucher as a Christmas gift for someone, you’ll help them do something they’ve been meaning to do for ages. Children grow so quickly that time is of the essence when it comes to photographing young children.

You can also give it as a gift for your own family too!

Five: It’s very low effort! I mean really low.

Whichever photographer you use, they will be able to either post you a gift certificate or send it by email to your recipient. And who doesn’t like an easy gift like that to give!?

Six: It can double up as a Christening or birthday gift

Photo sessions don’t normally have to be used right away. So, if you know the recipient has a Christening come up or a significant birthday suggest they use the session then. You can also buy vouchers for First Holy Communion gifts.

My gift certificates are valid for an entire year so there will be ample opportunity to take advantage of it for special occasions.

Seven: Grandparents love photos of their family above other gifts

That’s what I’ve noticed anyway. All my parents and in-laws want from me are photos of my family. Ok, let’s be honest, they just want photos of my daughter! We also give them other gifts as well but they cherish the photos I give the most.

I hope you’re found this email useful. If you want to know more about booking a photo shoot for your family or buying a Christmas voucher, please get in touch! I have a studio on Twickenham Green or the photo shoot can take place in one of the beautiful nearby parks.
